ARTS CENTRE GALLERY TRANSFORMED INTO AN ENCHANTED WOOD

Juniper TreeTHE JUNIPER TREE

It is a harsh winter, too cold for a boy to be sent out alone on an errand.
"Where is my child, where is my only son?" the desperate father had whispered to a little bird sitting in the boughs of the juniper tree… Forgotten and ignored for many a winter, the juniper tree has sat and watched strange, terrible things happen. But beneath its knotted bark something is stirring and a tale that has been hidden for centuries is ready to blossom.

The Juniper Tree is an exciting fairytale which retells the Brothers Grimm fairytale for adults and brave children aged seven and up.

Goat and Monkey, one of the UK’s most exciting new theatre companies, will transform the gallery into an enchanted wood, adding music, light and sound for a full sensory experience.

With villains to hate and heroes to love, chases, dances and fights are all brought to life in big wigs and glorious costumes.
Goat and Monkey create a world of adventure, peril, magic trees, evil stepmothers, singing birds and enduring love.
