BRAND NEW IDENTITY AND REFURBISHED FACILITY FOR HAVANT MUSEUM AND HAVANT ARTS CENTRE
The new joint venture will be re-named as ‘The Spring’. ‘The Spring’ is due to open in October 2009 and alongside the present Arts Centre will feature a 1950’s kitchen; a public research centre, local study resources, a live room and recording studio, a shop and more gallery spaces and a live aquarium.

Highlights include two nationally recognised food writers: Anjum Anand and Valentina Harris, folk musician Cara Dillon, the Sakama Live Show Band, The James Taylor Quartet, the all-day Summer Bands event -’Sounds of Summer’, comedian Patick Monahan, Theatreworks presentation of ‘Tess of the D’urbervilles’, Theatre Tours presentation of ‘Austen’s Women’ and the May Days Arts Trail 09. EXHIBITIONS AND HERITAGE MANAGER VACANCY
From April 2009 Havant Arts Centre will merge with Havant Museum to become Havant Arts & Heritage Centre. HAHC is looking to appoint an Exhibitions and Heritage Manager. Please click on the link to view the Exhibitions and Heritage Manager Advertisement (PDF). The advert contains all the information that you need in order to apply for this positiion.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES AND SHOWS
Click on the link to download the latest Spring 09 Children’s Holiday Activity Flyer. The flyer includes workshops happening at Havant Arts Centre, Making Space and Staunton Country Park.

ONLINE BOOKING
Most shows and workshops are now available to book online (there is a 10% discount on the price for most items when you purchase online).

HOW TO LOG IN
You login with a username and password (the option to login appears once you have clicked on a ‘Buy Tickets Online’ button - these buttons can be found within individual event and workshop category postings - categories can be found on the left hand side of the page). Your login consists of the first four letters of your surname followed by the last part of your postcode. For example, my name is Darren Corps, postcode po48nl so my username would be Corp8NL (case sensitive). The password is your full postcode (in most cases UPPER CASE with no gaps).

MEMBERS BOOKING ONLINE
To receive the full members discount (on top of the usual online discount) members need to use their ‘Membership Login’ (please use the method shown above). If you find that your name does not appear above the words “Log Off’ (top left of the screen), then please contact the Box Office to clarify your password and membership status.

PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS
Some previous customers can also login using the method explained above.

NEW CUSTOMERS
New customers will need to click onto the ‘Sign-up online’ link (in a red font) on the left hand side of the screen (appears once you have clicked on the ‘Buy Tickets Online’ button).

WHY SHOULD I LOGIN?
Signing-up means that customers do not have to re-enter address details every time that an online purchase is made. For members it means that you would receive the additional members discount.

PASSWORDS
HAC recommends that purchasers change their password once they have logged on - this can be done when you click on the ‘your account’ button and then ‘edit’ button.

Poop, Poop! The perfect Winter & Christmas Show - ‘Wind in the Willows’

Bench Wind in the Willows Wind in the Willows RehearsalOpening Thursday 11th December, Wind in the Willows, adapted for the National Theatre by Alan Bennett, is a wonderful retelling of a classic story suitable for children from 8 years old. The show features everyone’s favourite rascal, Mr Toad, with his friends Rat, Mole and Badger and a cast of otters, weasels, rabbits and mice and the occasional human.
