HAVANT LIGHT OPERA PRESENTS
The Sorcerer
First performed in 1877, The Sorcerer was the first full-length opera by Gilbert & Sullivan, crammed with delightful songs, witty dialogue and archetypal satire. At the behest of a wellmeaning but thoroughly misguided patrician,a mysterious ‘dealer in magic and spells’administers a love-potion to an entire village. Enjoy the inevitable and hilarious consequences as the inhabitants of the village form passionate, and entirely unsuitable, attachments to each other.
